Thursdays @ Fairbanks Yoga | 4:30 - 5:15pm {{ Begins October 23 }}
This 45 minute class is designed to offer a sampling of all the elements you’ll find in a traditional kundalini practice. The first 30 minutes will be spent warming up the body through dynamic spinal movements, flowing postures, and kriyas to get energy moving through the body. The final 15 minutes will settle that energy into stillness with a seated pranayama (breath exercise) or mantra (Sanskrit chant), giving you the opportunity to dive a bit deeper into understanding your internal environment.
This practice is catered to those new to kundalini and though no experience is needed to attend class, you may find benefit in visiting www.jaciesturm.com/kundalini for a few short videos that provide helpful tips including how to correctly practice Breath of Fire, info on how we open and close a Kundalini practice, and contraindications for some of the breath exercises.
Please Note: These classes will be recorded with a camera stand in the room. The recording will be available on my on-demand site for anyone who wants to practice from home at their own pace (recordings will be uploaded within 24 hours and can be accessed from www.jaciesturm.com/on-demand). And as an added bonus, students who attend class in person will receive a special link to the recording, offering the chance to revisit the class throughout the week and build consistency toward a daily practice.

Kundalini Quickie
The Kundalini Experience
I’m excited to invite you to join me for a special once-a-month free community practice led by my teacher and talented experience facilitator, Jai Dev Singh. This Sunday morning class immerses you in the unique sound current that makes Jai Dev’s teachings special.
In this format, I will be at the front of the room practicing with you as a demo, while we all follow along with one of Jai Dev’s recorded sessions. This means we’ll get to collectively participate in this beautiful, immersive sound experience, allowing for a deeper connection to both each other and ourselves.
No experience is necessary and taking rest when needed is always welcome. Those who are pregnant or on the 3 heaviest days of their menstrual cycle can skip over any breath holds or stimulating breath practices (like breath of fire) and take long deep breaths instead. Power Vinyasa

This class is designed to help you cultivate strength, stamina, and flexibility, both physically and mentally. Power Vinyasa combines the traditional sequencing and mindful breathwork of vinyasa yoga with creative variations and challenging postures that keep the practice fresh and engaging. Expect a dynamic flow that builds heat, endurance, and focus as you move with purpose from one pose to the next. Each class begins with an intention to anchor your practice and ends with time to integrate and rest. You’ll leave feeling grounded, strong, and clear. Some prior yoga experience is recommended.
